Intuition Application: Intuitive Storying

One of the great values of making up your future by a picture story is that you can remember it, and it will inspire you. The power of the pictured story is supported by the factoid that 80% of Americans know their zodiac sign, while only 20% know their blood type. Why? Because zodiac signs have an image attached to them and a mythic story behind their meaning, whereas blood types are only letters, words, with nothing memorable or motivating in them.
Try this exercise in Intuitive Storying either alone or with your team, and see what magic develops!

1. Describe the quest you are on or goal you want to achieve (passionate preferred vision). Ask yourself:

a. What is your path of adventure from here to there?
b. What are your fears and perceived demons (paranoid vision)?
c. What are the outrageous characters and pathways you meet (possible visions)?
d. What are the sacrifices, and what are your strengths and allies that will enable you to leap beyond the conventional way (probable vision)?
e. What does your intuition say are the immediate actions to take for each of these elements of the story?

2. Make up a story of these classic features of success.

3. Tell the story to your partner or your team, and have it told back to you. How does it sound, how does it feel, how does it look?
